Mrs. Michelle (Michal) Baruch Mrs. Baruch grew up in Queens and Long Island, New York. in Education and Special Education from Touro College as well as her New York State Teachers Certification. Mrs. Lichtman lives with her family in the Givat Hamivtar section of Jerusalem. Mrs. Lichtman oversees the academic program at Tomer Devorah, ensuring that each girl receives a unique educational experience catered to her preferences. In the past, many did not enter this field because professional training was expensive and time-consuming. Mrs. Leah Rosenstein is the Menahelet of the Shana Bet program in Tomer Devorah. Originally from Woodmere, NY, she herself did not attend TD but some fo her sisters did including another staff member, Mrs. Kassai! She has been involved in the realm of seminary administration for the past 26 years including curriculum planning and execution, faculty consultation, and student guidance. Her research areas include school leadership, teamwork, team leadership, cross-cultural analysis, comparative research, and quantitative research methods. In her spare time, Shelly is a matchmaker and counselor for older singles who want to live in Israel. In and out of the classroom, the Machal experience is one that connects its students to Torah, to our Mesorah, to Eretz Yisrael and to each other. Mrs. Shira Freund is from Far Rockaway, NY and is an alumnus of Tomer Devorah. Five thousand of those women are from abroad, and for a number of years there have also been specialized programs for men. Mrs. Zehava Kassai, an alumnus of TD, is originally from Woodmere, NY. Mrs. Hausman resides with her husband and two adorable boys in Ramot, Yerushalayim. Mrs. Walder also leads our Programming Team, utilizing her creativity, energy, and organization to create a well rounded extracurricularprogram for our students.
